Certificate in Personal Injury Law

The APIL certificate will provide you with the necessary skills to handle personal injury cases from instructions through to conclusion, showing competency in:
  • investigation
  • funding, costs and risk assessment
  • procedure
  • damages
  • liability (RTA, employers, occupiers and public)
  • medical evidence
  • core skills
It comprises eight one-day modules ideally taken over a two year period.

Personal injury legal training from APIL

Continuing professional development is essential to keep personal injury lawyers equipped with sufficient legal knowledge, understanding and skills to run their caseload competently.

APIL accredits offices to run their legal training in-house, accredits certain courses run by other providers and barristers’ chambers, and also runs its own programme of over 150 training events nationwide - see below.

To maintain APIL’s high quality standards, all accredited legal training is carefully monitored and the feedback scrutinised by APIL’s independent academic quality council.
