About Julie Aldred
Julie’s expertise is handling claims for catastrophic injury, such as brain damage, caused by clinical negligence or accidents at work or on the road. Working both in the courts and through mediation to win settlements at every financial level but primarliy multi-million pound settlements, Julie’s particular specialisms are birth brain injury cases, anaesthetic and obstetric negligence and industrial diseases. With nearly 30 years experience, she understands that it can be just as important for clients to get answers, win an apology or to make sure that whatever happened to them or their loved one cannot happen again in additon to compensation. That makes helping people through the NHS complaints process a key part of her work.
Julie believes in supporting injured clients and bereaved relatives emotionally and practically, not just through the claim and litigation process, but through the other challenges too: the inquest, accessing and correcting medical records, rehabilitation, care and therapeutic support, wheelchair accessible vehicles and accommodation adapted for her clients needs, specialist dvise on investing personal injury awards and obtaining professional financial deputy support for clients with brain injury..
A Citizens Advice Bureau volunteer, Julie enjoys skiing, fencing and swimming and is a passionate fan of theatre and film.
