Personal Assistant
(Part-Time for maternity cover)



Providing cover during the maternity leave of the current post holder you will be expected to provide full secretarial and administrative support to the executive committee, officers and other associated boards and panels here at APIL, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Duties will typically include:

  • Arranging and attending meetings around the country,
  • Booking attendees, venues, tele-conferencing, travel and accommodation.
  • Agreeing agendas, collating papers and preparation and circulation of minutes

Candidates must have previous experience in preparing meeting agenda’s and minute taking at a senior Board level, with minimum typing speeds of 60 wpm preferred. Experience of building Adobe PDF documents would also be helpful. Fully competent with Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint you will be able to effectively organise not only your own workload but of others too, meeting defined deadlines and demonstrating efficiency, excellent communication skills and professionalism at all times. It is expected that the successful candidate will work around the diarised meetings, and associated duties, resulting in a weekly work pattern of 2-3 days per week. This role would suit someone who is looking for a varied and flexible role, that is expected to last up to 12 months, and comfortable with travelling around the country to meeting venues as required.
