The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is pleased to present the first of two live legal training courses for expert witnesses, geared towards all claimant and defendant experts that advise on valuing claims.  A similar course for medical experts is available at

Who should attend?

Course 1 is a general experts course appropriate for all quantum experts in personal injury litigation including experts in care & rehabilitation; prosthetics and orthotics; employment; accountancy, accommodation and architecture.  

The will provide you with all the legal knowledge required up to conference and directions, including report writing.

Our experts courses aim to deliver practical guidance to assist you in developing or enhancing the skills and knowledge required to become a good expert. They can serve as an introduction but also as a refresher, to improve your current skill-set.

This BRAND NEW virtual event will cover:

This course will include the latest case law developments on written questions to experts;
covert recording of medical examinations, and expert’s duties.

Course 2: "Court Proceedings and Trial" will concentrate mostly on post-issue stage of the case, joint expert meetings, preparing for and giving evidence at trial.  This course will run on 11 October 2021 and further details can be found here
