About Anna Vroobel

I am a Senior Associate Solicitor based in the clinical negligence team in London, specialising exclusively in negligence claims on behalf of patients and their families. I traind at Irwin Mitchell LLP and qualified in September 2014, having already spent 16 months working in the medical negligence team.

I am an APIL accredited Senior Litigator, an APIL accredited Clinical Negligence Specialist and  an accredited Clinical Negligence Specialist with the Law Society's Panel.

I have significant experience with a wide range of maximum severity claims, including cerebral palsy and stroke cases, as well as those involving catastrophic injuries such as sepsis and loss of sight. I have particular specialisms in the following areas:

• For adults who have sustained a brain injury - with particular expertise in stroke cases;

• For children who have suffered injuries at birth - with particular expertise in cerebral palsy caused by HIE and hyperbilirubinemia (kernicterus);

• Fatal cases- with particular expertise in maternal or paternal death cases- I have experience with representation of families at inquests, including Article 2 inquests before a jury;

• Bladder and bowel injury cases - with particular expertise in assisting clients who have developed urinary or bowel dysfunction either through surgical negligence or through development of spinal conditions such as cauda equina or cancer. I understand how challenging it can be to live with a stoma or to suffer from urgency and incontinence and I have experience in how to best support clients to manage this type of injury. I also have experience in representing and supporting clients reliant on parenteral feeding (intravenous artificial nutrition).
