About Brenda Gilligan
Brenda qualified as a solicitor in 1990 after training in London. Brenda was a late starter, coming into law at the age of 35. But that did mean she had had plenty of experience outside law beforehand, having been amongst other things, a market stall trader, a stable groom, a welfare adviser in the East End, an agricultural worker and believe it or not, a commercial drain cleaner, the only female in a company of 30 men.
Since qualifying, Brenda has worked for several firms, starting with a firm in Thetford in Norfolk which was and is a leading firm outside London for clinical negligence, rising to become a partner in a major firm in the City of London. Brenda moved to Lincoln with her family in 2007.
Brenda has only ever worked for Claimants, trying to achieve the best settlements possible for those injured through no fault of their own. The law entitles injured people to be compensated where they can prove they were injured through someone else’s negligence. They need it to improve their often shattered lives.
Brenda joined Ringrose Law in 2017. Brenda’s main specialism is clinical negligence law. She deals with any size and type of claim, from a missed fracture to cerebral palsy cases for children. In nearly 30 years practice, there’s not much she hasn’t seen! Brenda also takes on serious and complicated personal injury claims, such as road traffic accidents.
