Representative Matters
I have taken over cases in which other firms have given the claimant poor prospects of success and have refused to take the matter further. These include the family of a HGV driver in North Wales who tragically died due to the negligence of his Employers. A previous firm had acted but felt the claim was unwinnable as the Defendants had denied liability and there had been no witnesses to the accident. We issued proceedings, persuaded the Defendants to attend a mediation and managed to negotiate a settlement in excess of £100,000.
In another case, a claimant from London received over £50,000 in damages and costs after the claimant had instructed to earlier firms without success. We also ensured the Defendants Insurers paid for the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Shoulder Surgery at a private Hospital.
I recently secured over £20,000 for a painter & decorator who broke his arm falling off a ladder. The client was so delighted with how his case had been handled he referred his friend who had only been offered £4700 for a similar injury. We took over conduct of the case and managed to treble the offer.
I was recommended to an apprentice engineer who had lost the majority of his hand in an industrial accident. He had wanted to accept an inital offer of £250,000 but we were able to persuade him to continue with the case and after several interim payments which helped him to support himself and his family he settled for close to 1 million.
