About Claire Newstead

I am a Partner in the Leeds office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell, the largest Personal Injury firm in the UK. I joined Irwin Mitchell in 2001 and became an associate in 2005 and then a Partner in 2016. I specialise in helping people who have sustained serious multiple injuries (polytrauma) as a result of an accident at work, road crash or injury in a public place. Such injuries include serious orthopaedic injuries, including amputations, scarring, internal injuries and psychological trauma. I also specialise in acting for families who have suffered a bereavement as a result of a road crash or incident at work. Rehabilitation is really important and where appropriate I will ensure that this is made available to those clients who need this to help them at what can be a very difficult and traumatic time. I am very passionate about my job and always ensure that client's and their families have a full understanding and my full support during what can be a complex and difficult process. I am an accredited Fellow of APIL and I am also an Accredited Fatal Accident Specialist.
