He is regularly instructed by current and former military personnel who have suffered injuries or illness due to their service, often leading to a loss of career.
David played a pivotal role in the British Coal Coke Oven Workers Litigation, which resolved hundreds of claims by its conclusion in March 2022. He was also a lead solicitor in the parallel group action involving British Steel, successfully negotiating a scheme for settlement on behalf of hundreds of former workers and their families. Both actions involved multi-million pound settlements.
Notable achievements include securing a £450,000 settlement for a former stone mason and £600,000 for an Army engineer who suffered an upper airways attack following exposure to noxious fume.
In addition to his legal practice, David has a number of published articles in APIL's 'PI Focus' magazine and is a national training lead at Irwin Mitchell.
