About David King
David is an APIL accredited Brain Injury Specialist and Senior Litigator. He is an Associate Solicitor in Irwin Mitchell's Leeds Neurotrauma team.
Since 2013, David has specialised in helping people who have suffered traumatic brain injuries of all severities, often as a result of a road accident or an accident at work.
Many of his clients have also suffered complex orthopaedic and/or psychological injuries. He helps his clients to claim compensation and, importantly, gain access to swift and appropriate rehabilitation.
He has substantial experience of dealing with cases that are challenging in relation to liability, working with clients who (as a result of their age and/or their injury) lack capacity to manage their affairs and their families and managing comprehensive rehabilitation packages.
He has successfully concluded claims ranging from £40,000 to £15,000,000 in value, the majority of which has been seven-figure settlements.
David was recognised in the Chambers and Partners legal journal as making an exceptional contribution to the team. David regularly participates in charitable fundraising activities, including brain injury charities such as the Child Brain Injury Trust (‘CBIT’).
