About Deepti Patel
Deepti is part of the Brain injury Team at Bolt Burdon Kemp.
Deepti is a senior solicitor specialising in Adult Brain Injury claims. She joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in March 2018 and works with Laura Barlow, who is an Associate in the team.
Deepti is passionate about helping her clients to achieve the outcome that they are looking for, to help them live their lives after a serious injury.
After qualifying as a solicitor in 2018, Deepti joined Bolt Burdon Kemp, taking on a range of personal injury and medical negligence claims involving serious injuries. She also has a broad range of previous experience in road traffic accidents, inquests, accidents on water, accidents at work and claims relating to public liability.
Deepti manages her own cases and supports her clients through every stage of litigation including investigating the claim, issuing court proceedings, representing clients at court hearings and working to reach a successful conclusion. She recognises the importance in identifying and seeking rehabilitation early and is committed to securing admissions of liability from Defendants.
Deepti works closely with Laura Barlow on a range of other challenging brain injury cases, including brain injuries sustained in road traffic accidents and through clinical negligence. Deepti has gained experience in working on several multi-million pound claims with colleagues and is capable of pushing complex cases through to settlement.
Deepti’s commitment to raising awareness of brain injury extends to outside the workplace. She has close links with Headway Milton Keynes and volunteers regularly for their group activities. Headway is a brain charity sponsored by Bolt Burdon Kemp which provides support for individuals who have suffered a brain injury and their families. Deepti enjoys meeting new people and being able to use her knowledge of brain injury to help those who have been adversely affected, bringing together two of her passions.
Having completed her Law degree at Keele University in 2012, Deepti went on to study for her LPC at the University of Law in Birmingham. She also volunteered for Victim Support for many years providing support to vulnerable witnesses and victims of crime whilst they went through the legal process. Upon completion of her legal education, Deepti gained experience working as a paralegal and later a trainee solicitor for a well-known London law firm where she investigated personal injury claims for individuals who had sustained catastrophic injuries.
