About Ewan Bain
I am Senior Associate at Sintons specialising in Brain Injury claims.
I began my career in Serious Injury claims with Irwin Mitchell, working within their Serious Injury Team as a Paralegal in 2015. I later qualified as a Solicitor in September 2017.
I joined Switalskis’ specialist Brain Injury and Serious Injury team in February 2019 before leaving in June 2024.
I joined Sintons in July 2024 as a Senior Associate in their Neurotrauma team.
As a Brain Injury Solicitor, I help those who have been wrongly injured find justice and enable them to live life as independently as possible. I hold both Senior Litigator and Brain Injury accreditation under the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers’ (APIL) accreditation scheme.
I have included below a brief Q&A as to what clients can expect from me:-
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
A: Building a strong rapport with my clients and supporting them through the often difficult journey of their claim and recovery.
Q: What can clients expect from you?
A: Clients have said that I am “caring”, “hard-working” and “responsive”. I try to give legal advice in a manner that is easy to understand and relate to. Throughout the claims process, I also think of the wider impact that serious injuries can have on the injured person’s loved ones and explore ways in which the family framework can be involved in the process to maximise a client’s recovery.
Q: What aspect of brain injury law do you find most interesting?
A: I find it fascinating to learn about the advances in rehabilitation to improve a client’s quality of life. I think it’s important to keep abreast of the latest developments and/or have contacts to those clinicians who are at the forefront of rehabilitation medicine. This provides us with the knowledge to maximise our client’s recovery through their respective claims.
Q: What are your interests outside of work?
A: Playing football with friends and generally keeping fit. For my sins, I am an avid Sheffield United fan. I also enjoy reading thought-provoking non-fiction books and the occasional “binge” on Netflix!
