About Gemma Osgood
Gemma is a Senior Associate in the Clinical Negligence team at Clarke Willmott with extensive experience in all types of clinical negligence claims
Main areas of practice Gemma has been specialising in clinical negligence work since 2008, conducting all types of cases ranging from lower value claims including dental negligence and fatal accidents claims, to very high value complex cerebral palsy/birth injury claims.
Gemma has also been involved in numerous inquests, most notably the Gosport War Memorial Inquests in 2009. Gemma also assisted the main fee earner with parts of the well known Bailey v MOD case.
Clients Gemma has successfully pursued claims for clients with a wide range of injuries resulting from medical negligence, against individual practitioners, dentists, NHS Trusts and private hospitals.
Gemma believes in providing an individual service to her clients as every case and every client is different and will want different things. She is always happy to discuss a claim with a potential new client. She finds her job extremely rewarding and enjoys feeling like she is making a difference to her client's life. Her aim with all clients is to bring expertise with empathy and to progress the claim as efficiently as possible.
As a team, Clarke Willmott benefit from the extensive medical knowledge within the team. They also have excellent links with both emanent medical experts and barristers alike which enables them to ensure that clients receive the best service possible.
Outside of work Gemma is a keen sailor, regularly racing a Folkboat throughout Europe. Gemma has competed in Cowes Week and has previously been awarded best female sailor.
