About Katrina London
I am a Senior Associate in Irwin Mitchell’s Manchester Asbestos Related Disease Team. I have represented clients who have suffered occupational injuries and diseases for over 30 years and specialised in the field of asbestos disease litigation for over 16 years.
I act for clients with asbestos related diseases from all over the North West and North Wales. I have represented clients from overseas (Australia, New Zealand and Canada) who contracted asbestos diseases before emigrating to other countries.
My case of Boden v Crown House Maintenance Limited is the basis for the guidance provided by the courts to victims of mesothelioma who wish to delay final settlement of their claim to ensure proper provision is made for their dependents. I was one of the first solicitors to secure funding for the non NHS funded treatment of immunotherapy for mesothelioma sufferers in 2016.
I work closely with the charities that support and campaign for mesothelioma sufferers. I organised a 1200 mile cycle ride, from Glasgow to Southampton, to raise funds and awareness of the need to increase funding into mesothelioma research in 2009 and I continue to raise funds for the charities that support and fund research into new treatments for mesothelioma victims.
I am a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel.
