I am a solicitor and partner at Leigh Day based in Liverpool and specialise in claims on behalf of asbestos disease sufferers.  I have been doing this type of work since 1996 and was previously a partner at John Pickering and Partners and latterly Slater & Gordon (when the firm was acquired).  I managed their office in Liverpool City Centre.

I specialise in claims on behalf of mesothelioma sufferers although I deal with claims for all types of asbestos diseases.

I act for clients across the UK and overseas and have acted for clients from the UK who now live in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Spain and Malta.

I have acted for asbestos sufferers in a number of cases that went to trial when the decisions were reported.  I have also been involved in working and assisting on a number of important test cases when I was at John Pickering and Partners.  This included the Fairchild case and a claim for dockers with asbestos diseases which changed the law to help sufferers claim compensation.

I am a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel, an APIL Fellow, an accredited APIL asbestos specialist and APIL assessor for asbestos accreditation.  This means that I assess applications for specialist APIL membership from other lawyers.  I am ranked in a legal directory called Chambers and Partners in Band 1 for the UK in relation to occupational disease claims. 

I also sit on the Oversight Committee of the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme as a victim representative.
