About Louise Larkin
I am a senior asbestos lawyer in the North West. I have represented victims of asbestos related disease both in Scotland and England for the last 25 years. I was previously senior supervisor at Thompsons Solicitors and Head of Industrial Disease, Liverpool for Slater & Gordon LLP (formerly John Pickering & Partners LLP).
I am an accreditated APIL occupational asbestos disease specialist and an APIL assessor which enables me to assess other APIL members who wish to attain specialist accreditation in asbestos work.
I have obtained compensation for multiple clients suffering from mesothelioma, asbestos related lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening. I have also represented claimants in a wide range of jobs working in many different kinds of environment.
I have written articles for regional newspapers informing the public on current legal issues and raising awareness of the dangers of asbestos and it's potentially devastating impact.
I am a firm believer in maximising client care. The most rewarding aspect of my job is achieving justice for victims of crippling asbestos related diseases. I do not shy away from taking on difficult cases and often go on to win them.
I also hold various qualifications in British Sign Language which enables me to act for profoundly deaf clients where I can use sign language to act as an interpreter whilst acting on their behalf.
