I am a Senior Associate Solicitor at Boyes Turner in Reading and have specialised in asbestos disease claims since joining the firm in 2007.

I am very passionate about assisting those affected by asbestos exposure and have only ever represented claimants.

I deal with complex and high value asbestos disease claims, including mesothelioma claims, asbestos related lung cancer claims, asbestosis claims and pleural thickening claims.

I am accredited by APIL as a Senior Litigator and I am an APIL Accredited Asbestos Disease Specialist.

I qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and worked in general personal injury, predominantly employers' liability claims (accidents at work), before specialising in asbestos disease claims in 2007.

I represented the Claimant in the reported case of Brooks v Zurich & Aviva [2022] EWHC 1170 (QB), successfully defending an application by two employers’ liability insurers to strike out a living mesothelioma claim.

The case considered the application of the Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act 2010, which has importance in many cases involving a defunct past employer and, in certain circumstances, allows proceedings to be issued directly against the dissolved company's insurers.  This can significantly speed up the process of issuing such claims, bringing earlier compensation and peace of mind to those affected by mesothelioma.
