About Richard Edwards
Richard, a Solicitor-Advocate and APIL Fellow, graduated from the University of Liverpool (the city of his birth) in 2002 with first class honours in law and from there studied at the college of law in Chester. He qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and practiced for many years with a well known firm in Liverpool where he was head of a busy personal injury litigation department before joining Potter Rees Dolan in Manchester where he is now a Partner. Richard is experienced in dealing with unusual, complicated and high value personal injury litigation including bringing claims for those who have suffered severe head, orthopaedic and amputation injuries. Richard has dealt with claims in the Court of Appeal, High Court and in the US and regularly represents claimants before the First-Tier Tribunal in criminal injury claims. A passionate supporter of the rights of accident victims Richard frequently writes articles that have been published in a range of professional journals. Richard is recommended in the Legal 500 UK 2021 edition.
