About Simon Ellis
Simon Ellis is a Partner with Hugh James and has been with the firm since 1998.
Simon is Head of the Military Claims Department, working on behalf of current and former military personnel suffering with various injuries and illnesses relating their service, including noise induced hearing loss and post traumatic stress disorder. He regularly advises clients who have been unable to get legal help elsewhere. He frequently contributes articles for the press relating to military legal issues and has given interviews on radio and television.
Simon has also advised client suffering with a wide range of industrial disease, including chest and asbestos related illnesses such as mesothelioma and lung cancer. He also represents clients suffering with vibration white finger, industrial deafness, dermatitis, Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and osteoarthritis caused through working conditions.
Due to his experience and reputation Simon is often asked to consider more unusual types of industrial disease. He has been at the forefront of seeking justice for clients suffering with less common illnesses, caused through the work they carried out. Simon acts for clients living abroad as well as those in the UK.
Simon has obtained the Apil Senior Litigator accreditation. He is also an author and contributor to LexisNexis.
