About Sophie Davies
I was educated at the University of Oxford and the University of Wales.
I qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and have over 20 years' experience of personal injury litigation.
I have been a partner at Osbornes since 2012.
I am on the Law Society personal injury panel (since 2005) and am an APIL accredited senior litigator.
I specialise in serious injury litigation, especially arising from road traffic accidents and accidents at work.
I have a particular interest in complex orthopaedic injuries.
I push for early interim payments and rehabilitation in all cases.
Recent highlights include:-
Obtaining over £600,000 for a man with a severe ankle fracture which had a permanent impact on his ability to work.
A claim for a young man whose leg was crushed against a wall when he lost control of the pump truck he was operating. There was prolonged non-union of the tibia and fibula and a risk of amputation. A comprehensive package of rehabilitation was approved despite liability being denied and the sizeable settlement allowed my client to invest in a new business venture.
A claim for lady who sustained severe multiple leg fractures when she was hit by a car. Liability was denied but we secured extensive rehabilitation which included retraining.
A claim brought for vehicular trespass to the person won at trial in the High Court.
All cases settled for six figure sums.
I live in North London with my husband and 2 sons.
