About Tim Gray

Tim was educated at Queen Mary’s Grammar School in Walsall and obtained an LLB (Hons) Law Degree at Wolverhampton University in 1984. Tim completed his law exams at Chester Law School in 1986 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1989. He completed his training contract at Enoch Evans in Walsall before moving to Cartwright and Lewis in Birmingham where he developed his interest in personal injury and clinical negligence litigation. Tim joined FBC Manby Bowdler Solicitors as a solicitor in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department in 1994 and became a Partner in 1997.

Tim is an accomplished and very experienced personal injury and clinical negligence lawyer, having specialised in this field for over 25 years. Tim is Head of the Department and leads the Firm’s Clinical Negligence Team, in addition to managing other high value and complex personal injury multi track cases, often involving head and spinal injuries and cases of amputation.
He has concluded many significant and important claims for seriously injured claimants. He has recently settled a number of complex clinical negligence claims. 2 of his recent clients suffered serious brain injuries causing loss of vision.He negotiated settlements of in excess of 10 million pounds for both clients to ensure his clients could acquire appropriate accommodation, care and support for the rest of their lives.

Tim is currently representing a number of clients in difficult and complex clinical negligence claims involving for example injury to children during birth, failure to diagnose cancer in adult clients and a variety of other serious medical mistakes.

Tim has great experience litigating the difficult issues that arise in these cases, such as the recovery of damages for future care and the provision of statutory care services, negotiating and seeking approval of orders for annual periodical payments etc.

In his Leisure time, Tim enjoys supporting West Bromwich Albion FC ; visiting his son who is currently working in Manchester for a science based Company supporting science and technology based businesses. Tim also enjoys cooking and travelling with his wife and trying to keep fit despite advancing years.
