About Victoria Stevenson
Head of the Personal Injury and Debt Recovery teams, Victoria joined Roythornes in 2007 and has over twenty years’ experience of claimant personal injury litigation. She is a long-standing member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) with Senior Litigator status, as well as having been a Law Society (SRA) Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme member for many years.
Cases involving the brain and motor function hold a particular interest for Victoria, as well as those involving Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. She has considerable experience in cases where extensive rehabilitation and future care are required, as well as in assisting more vulnerable members of society who have suffered injury.
Victoria has responsibility for the firm's Panel membership on several household insurance provider Family Legal Protection Schemes and manages the relationship with other organisations representing claimants on a Conditional Fee Agreement basis ("No Win - No Fee"). From this involvement, she has gained useful experience in defendant litigation as well as handling claims relating to negligence and nuisance.
For our business clients, Victoria supervises the work of the Debt Recovery team, recommended by the Legal 500 as offering “an exceptional standard of service".
As Roythornes' Compliance Partner and chairman of the internal Quality and Compliance Committee (QCC), she has responsibility for all matters of regulation and governance. She is involved in ensuring Roythornes continues to deliver an excellent standard of client care with an emphasis on its values and the drive to be better. This is in addition to her role as Complaints Partner.
In her leisure time, Victoria is a keen horsewoman; she owns her own horse and has a particular interest in dressage. She heads up the Equine team which is made up of several other staff members who have a similar interest.
