Burnley solicitor takes on top role

01 May 2014
APIL news

A Burnley solicitor has been elected to the executive committee of a national not-for-profit campaign organisation for injured people.

Brett Dixon, from Smith Jones Solicitors in Finsley Gate, has joined the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers’ (APIL) committee to help lead the 4,000 strong membership.

“I’m really excited about taking on this new challenge and working with APIL on campaigns to ensure that the law works in the right way for those who need it the most,” said Brett.

“Recent reforms have made it much more difficult for those left vulnerable and injured by someone else’s negligence to claim the compensation they need and to which they have a right. Now more than ever, injured people need a voice and I intend to ensure they are heard.”
