A London-based former commando has been elected to join the national executive committee of a not-for-profit legal campaign organisation.

Grant Evatt will help lead the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) which is dedicated to improving the law for people made ill or injured through no fault of their own.

“I am delighted to have been elected by my peers within this prestigious organisation, especially as it celebrates its 25th anniversary,”said Grant.

“APIL is a voice for injured people and I know the executive committee works very hard. I am looking forward to being a part of that.”

Grant’s military experience means he is an expert in claims which involve members of the armed services as well as other serious work-related injuries.

"I want to continue to raise awareness for injured people, especially military veterans who are injured as a result of their service," he said.
