A Belfast solicitor has been elected for a leading role at national not-for-profit campaign organisation for injured people.
Oonagh McClure will join leading lawyers on the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) executive committee, which is dedicated to improving the law for people made ill or injured through no fault of their own.
“I am excited to take on this new role with APIL,” said Oonagh. “I am looking forward to representing Northern Ireland and ensuring injured people have access to justice they deserve and the financial support they need to bring a claim.
“There have been lots of changes to how personal injury claims are dealt with and there are further changes ahead and now is the time to be involved to make sure we do as much as we can to protect the rights of injured people.”
Oonagh specialises in medical negligence and asbestos related claims at Thompsons NI Solicitors.
