Kelly is a solicitor working in conjunction with a team in the Irwin Mitchell Sheffield office specialising in catastrophic injury cases, mostly involving:
- Traumatic brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Very significant orthopaedic injuries.
Kelly works to support clients who lack capacity, ensuring that they are provided with the appropriate support not just whilst we progress the case but for the rest of their lives into the future. She's assisted on multi million pound settlements during my time in the Serious Injury team both as a paralegal, trainee and now as a solicitor.
Kelly was nominated and shortlisted both for Trainee Solicitor of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2020 and for Rising Star of the Year at the Sheffield District Law Society Awards 2021.
Kelly is a Treasurer on the committee of Headway Barnsley, providing support to people who have sustained brain injuries in the surrounding area.
Kelly was recently was appointed the Joint Coordinator for APIL's Yorkshire regional group and am excited to work with my fellow Coordinator, Ewan Bain, to bring informative talks and networking opportunities for the Yorkshire area.
