Ewan trained at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield before qualifying there in September 2017. Ewan specialises in Adult and Paediatric Brain Injury cases.
Ewan moved to Switalskis Solicitors (Doncaster) in February 2019, to join their Brain Injury and Serious Injury Department.
Ewan has extensive experience in catastrophic injury cases. Ewan mainly works on cases where the damages exceed £1 million plus but also works on moderate brain injury claims where there are causation issues.
Ewan is passionate about his area of work and also access to justice. Whilst he was at Irwin Mitchell, he set up two pro bono legal advice clinics at an Afro-Caribbean community centre and Somalian Community Centre in Sheffield.
Ewan is also the Chair of Headway Rotherham and helps oversee the operation of the charity along with the other Trustees to deliver social events and support to its service users.
Ewan also supervises a work placement student from Sheffield Hallam University, as part of their “Law in Practice” module. This module gives students hands on experience within a law firm one day a week, alongside their academic studies.
Ewan is a committed APIL advocate and is an accredited Senior Litigator and Brain Injury Specialist. In addition, Ewan is a member of the New Future Leaders Group which has been set up within APIL recently.
