Jamie Gillespie

Prosthetist, Dorset Orthopaedic

During his service in the Army, Jamie was involved in a motorcycle accident, which resulted in a below knee amputation. After this, he retrained as a Prosthetist/Orthotist at the University of Salford. His prosthetic career began at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, providing prosthetic clinical services for NHS patients.

He later joined a leading prosthetic manufacturer, working within their research and development team in Iceland. He was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to over 20 countries supporting local rehabilitation and prosthetic teams, both for clinical and educational purposes.

During 2006, Jamie established the Pace Rehabilitation clinic in Buckinghamshire which grew successfully until 2023 when this facility was acquired by Ottobock and merged with Dorset Orthopaedic.
