Tom is a partner at Kennedys Law, a leading international law firm with a healthcare team advising private and public sector hospitals, healthcare professionals and their insurers on clinical and health law issues.
Tom leads both a healthcare team in Kennedys’ Sheffield office and Kennedys’ national ENS team. Tom has supported NHS Resolution and NHS Trusts for over 25 years and has a wealth of strategic knowledge in the management of clinical litigation over a broad range of clinical specialties, including obstetric and neonatal.
He qualified in England and Wales in 2000 and has represented the defendant Trusts in the landmark decisions of Lucas v Barking, Havering and Redbridge Hospitals NHS Trust; Tracey v Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; and, Robshaw v United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
