Mr Davis produces approximately 150 Personal Injury reports per year he is 80% claimant and 20% defendant. He has been providing medical reports for 25 years. Mr Davis produces 15 Clinical Negligence reports per year and is 80% claimant and 20% defendant. He specialises in foot and ankle cases and produces both Breach of Duty and Causation and Condition and Prognosis reports. He has been providing Clinical negligence reports for 5 years. Mr Davis has not yet had to attend court but meets with solicitors and Barristers at least twice per week for conference.
Mr Davis qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990. He undertook his basic surgical training on the Charing Cross surgical rotation and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1994. His specialist training was on the South West Thames Orthopaedic rotation during which time he acquired his FRCS (Tr+Orth). Mr Davis completed his training with a fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the USA. He was appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in surgery of the foot and ankle at Torbay Hospital in 2001. He is based at Torbay Hospital, Mount Stuart Hospital and The London Foot and Ankle Centre. His practice includes specialist foot and ankle surgery and the generality of trauma he is still actively involved on the on-call rota. Mr Davis has been Surgical tutor to South Devon trainees and Training programme Director for the Peninsula Orthopaedic trainees. He has recently retired as a senior FRCS (Tr+Orth) examiner and is Past President of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) having been president elect and chairman of the Education committee previously. He has been involved with the National Joint Registry and ODEP and Beyond Compliance. He has involved in medico-legal work for 25 years. He has acquired the Cert MR from Bond Solon. He is an invited speaker at national and international foot and ankle meetings and has published articles in press. He is APIL registered.
