Richard is a senior litigator and an APIL accredited brain injury specialist. He is also an assessor for APIL’s brain injury accreditation.
He also holds the position of co-ordinator at the APIL brain injury special interest group, having previously been secretary and chair.
Richard is a renowned UK personal injury specialist. He has recovered more than £100 million in damages for clients.
He was involved in the case of Connor v Castle Cement and Others  EWHC 300 (QB) the first civil case where a registered intermediary was allowed at trial.
Richard has given talks and led advice sessions to police as well as APIL and defendant organisations, such as the Motor Insurer’s Bureau. He has also appeared in the press and on TV and radio in connection with matters associated with personal injury. He is also Secretary of Aftermath Support Ltd, a charity working with Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire Police, to provide advice and support to the victims of road traffic collisions.
Richard is married with a young daughter; he enjoys spending time with his family, cinema, cycling and foreign travel.
