Planning for allocation and assignment

APIL CPD:
All levels - 1 hour

(Please note that the number of CPD hours may be subject to change)

If the claimant sustained injury on or after 1 October 2023 any claim, once issued, will be allocated, and where appropriate assigned, in accordance with the current CPR whether that be the small claims track, fast track, intermediate track or multi-track.

This webinar will cover:

  • The different tracks and the parameters of each for allocation of cases
  • Assignment (in the fast track and the intermediate track)
  • The costs implications of allocation
  • How the court is likely to approach allocation
  • Planning for allocation from day one
  • The importance of the letter of claim (and the ground to cover)
  • Preparing for the allocation hearing
  • Dealing with the allocation hearing
