All APIL accredited members must complete 16 hours of APIL accredited personal injury CPD training annually.
Members can still accrue all CPD hours through distance learning, this will be reviewed again in late January 2024. Members will be kept up-to-date on any changes to CPD hours through Weekly News.

WRITING FOR PUBLICATIONS
Maximum 10.5 hours*
Writing published articles on personal injury for recognised law journals:
3,000 words - 4 hours
2,000 words - 2 hours
Books - author or co-author of a PI book, to a maximum of 10.5 hours per annum
* Hours claimed must be in the year of publication
DELIVERING PERSONAL INJURY TRAINING
For Senior Litigators, Fellows, Senior Fellows and Specialist Counsel:
Maximum 10.5 hours
Delivering personal injury training for APIL, other organisations or in-house in accordance with the APIL philosophy. Hours may be claimed at the ratio of 2:1 for training delivery.
WRITING OR DELIVERING A PODCAST
1 hour per podcast
