Since 2005 Katie has exclusively undertaken clinical negligence work and has over 15 years post qualification experience. Katie’s cases cover a wide variety of areas including; orthopaedic, gynaecological, cardiac claims and cases involving gall bladder injuries. Katie deals with cases with injuries of maximum severity including spinal cord injuries and brain injuries.

Katie is involved in a specialised investigation into the inappropriate prescription of anticonvulsant medication to pregnant ladies and the effects of the medication on babies in utero and the significant care requirements needed by children born with neurological and physical disabilities. She is also investigating a number of high profile cases involving the side effects of medication. 

Katie was promoted to partner in Hugh James in May 2017. She is a Law Society Panel Member, she deals with a wide range of clinical negligence cases comprised of high value and complex claims.  She is known for her careful attention to detail and sensitive handling of cases, regularly securing significant sums of compensation for her clients.
