About Sue Bowler

“I am committed to securing justice for seriously injured clients. The type of work that I do often means that obtaining a good award of compensation is only part of the service that clients need. It is often possible for me to be instrumental in putting a regime of rehabilitation in place to assist an injured person’s recovery. I can also obtain interim payments for my clients as the cases progress in order to ease financial hardship. When compensation is received, whether by way of Court award or out of Court settlement, it is often sufficient to restore a reasonable quality of life to people whose lives have literally been torn apart by an accident or medical negligence that was not their fault.” Sue Bowler is one of the leading Brain Injury Lawyers in the south of England. Sue has strived to perfect her prowess in personal injury law, becoming Partner and leading a team of personal injury and clinical negligence specialists. She remains a dedicated hands-on lawyer continuing to provide advice and service for her clients, most of who have suffered complex brain injuries and have significant disabilities. She had the role of chairperson of Headway Portsmouth and South East Hampshire for 6 years, a leading charity for persons with acquired brain injury. Her successes speak for themselves having recovered multi-million pound settlements on numerous occasions for the victims of catastrophic injuries. Sue also has experience in complex claims, including clinical negligence, fatal accidents, psychological injuries and other complex accidents and injuries. Much of Sue’s current work includes obtaining evidence to value catastrophic clinical negligence claims which also involve brain injury. Sue has been cited in the 2011 edition of Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession as having “a formidable reputation for her handling of high-value brain injury cases. She recently won lump sum damages of £1.75 million, along with periodical payments, for a young woman who suffered severe brain injury resulting from an RTA.” Priding herself in not only obtaining substantial awards for the most seriously injured clients but also the follow on support required for rehabilitation, Sue recognises that interim action can secure the facilities to arrange for rehabilitation. This provides the seriously injured client the highest possible chance of regaining the quality of life they may feel they have lost. Sue also prides herself on the team of lawyers she has trained around her who also continue to provide high levels of client care and quality of service to those victims they represent. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter.
