Jodie Kembery

Jodie Kembery has a successful and diverse Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury practice, having specialised in these areas since commencing her career.

Within her Clinical Negligence Practice she frequently advises in cases involving gynaecological and obstetric issues, delayed or mis-diagnosis, oncological matters and failed surgical procedures. In Personal Injury, Jodie has a wealth of experience regarding injuries sustained in road traffic accidents and accidents at work and in public places. She enjoys engaging with cases and clients in early stages of the life of a claim so as to help guide the matter to a successful conclusion.

Jodie is very experienced in conducting conferences with lay and professional clients and experts on complex issues of liability and quantum, often in emotional circumstances. Jodie’s excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism allow her to be thorough and robust in her examination of the issues in question, whilst remaining sensitive of the clients’ needs.

She has a thriving paperwork practice and regularly prepares all manner of pleadings and written advice. She has a real ability to succinctly distil complex legal and medical concepts, often with difficult advice, in a helpful way. Written work or advice can often at short notice when required.

Jodie is instructed by both claimants and defendants. She was appointed to the Attorney General’s Civil Regional C Panel in 2020 and regularly acts for government departments to provide advice, pleadings and representation at hearings. Jodie appears in court on a range of matters, including trials, inquests and all manner of interlocutory hearings, making her a well-rounded advocate.
